And, yes – there are some <i>gnarly </i>ballot measures out there, and I don’t mean <i>good </i>ones!<i> </i>There’s that first one on the list (on the Secretary of State’s <a href="https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/ballot-measures/initiative-and-referendum-status/official-top-funders" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 128);">“Top Funders” webpage</a>): That one“Limits voters’ ability to pass voter-proposed local special taxes by raising the vote approval threshold requirement for such ballot measures…”. And there’s the next one – with the appropriate ID number of <b>1984</b>! – for a <i>voter ID law</i> that would entail “Increased annual state and local government costs potentially ranging in the tens of millions of dollars to the low hundreds of millions…”.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 16px; background-image: none; background-position: 0% 0%; background-size: auto; background-repeat: repeat; background-attachment: scroll; background-origin: padding-box; background-clip: border-box;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>So I’m glad to have <i>you – </i>encouraging me to work on the Guide and find out the ramifications of those measures that actually make it to the ballot.
