y cerraba hacia las ocho de la noche, dependiendo de la clientela y los

detrás del mostrador, atendiendo a mujeres que compraban cien gramos de manteca
de cerdo, un kilo de cebada, medio kilo de azúcar, cincuenta gramos de café,
todas con los ojos puestos en la báscula para vigilar el
peso.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>

</SPAN>Había tardes cuando un campesino borracho sacaba la pistola y la apuntada
al corazón. Nicias, sin perder la calma, le quitaba el arma y le obsequiaba una
cajetilla de cigarros, diciéndole: “Vete a dormir, mañana
