In the weeks to come this year, Mythica will be shining a spotlight on the hidden stories of those who keep the flame of light and beauty alive our world. One of my own living heroes is the poet, playwright, songleader and storyteller Doug von Koss. A Prop Master for the San Francisco Opera and movies for decades, Doug is a self-described community arts organizer who brings people together in rituals and celebration around the world. In my mind, Doug should have been cast as Albus Dumbledore, the wise wizard in Harry Potter with the genial twinkle in his eye, because the joy and sense of inclusion Doug creates is nothing short of magic. Doug will be the first elder in a series of "Saints Among Us" sponsored by Mythica, when he will appear as the master of ceremonies for our Epiphany Celebration on Sunday, January 6 at 5 pm.
