College Fund began with a poem. In 2006, Kim Rosen traveled with poet Marie Howe to Kenya. There she recited a poem to a group of fifty Maasai girls in a safe house, and the cross cultural communion that ensued inspired her to launch a fund that would help these young women to become empowered changemakers. Since then gifted poets and musicians have joined their voices to help raise funds and awareness for this inspiring initiative. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><span class="">Registration: <a href="http://bit.ly/from-tribe-and-fire-2023" class="">http://bit.ly/from-tribe-and-fire-2023</a></span></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Of the S.H.E. students, Poet Ellen Bass writes, “I'm inspired by the courage of these young women and their devotion to learning and to building a life that will sustain them, their families and their communities. They fill me with joy and hopefulness.”</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">"I've supported the S.H.E. Fund since I first learned it existed. How often can you help to bring such essential and lasting good to young women across the world whose courage and stories and hopes you can know directly, whose faces and families you can see, whose graduations you can celebrate? To add my poems and voice to this benefit along with my own donation - and with such an amazing company of poets this year - is a pure happiness: together, we weave the fabric of changed existence." - Jane Hirshfield</div></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><span class="">Registration: <a href="http://bit.ly/from-tribe-and-fire-2023" class="">http://bit.ly/from-tribe-and-fire-2023</a></span></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><img apple-inline="yes" id="9C241D4C-A3F8-445F-BC96-60E1203AAB1B" class="" width="801" height="500" src="cid:A76F2AC9-9632-4C05-B9B7-1258966888F7"></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><span id="docs-internal-guid-70ab2bdf-7fff-b88b-5e74-07efafe4262d" class=""><br class=""><div class="" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span class="" style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-weight: 700; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span class="" style="border: none; display: inline-block; overflow: hidden; width: 368px; height: 245px;"><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/pOJS3XsY-_kY9YzTyqubE5hrk0uEr3K9fAEskF3SLtS7cDKWbw5JQQjaTFzsdaUro9baMuLvXdAKwiuByrYUspnKc69ILMrDlaUlT7I4kl6NUP46q2UJnaD30o4BnVoqjUA8dSe7IBhXWFGauPXHZeY" width="368" height="245" class="" style="margin-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"></span></span></div><div class="" style="line-height: 1.38; text-align: center; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span class="" style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-weight: 700; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span class="" style="border: none; display: inline-block; overflow: hidden; width: 416px; height: 270px;"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/LOPCiawou4TOYVGb399j4C-opGlPO7cbcy7JldN7pSXPGIIxv1TpvI9acbQVSBvazdN8Ob-f8RXI9XONnW8peNmxcE_bAZ4sD3m5yq_E93tNV9odilBrZ3AMz-AnnSk_ewqiP7cTXKW-9YGcnmVlw58" width="416" height="270" class="" style="margin-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"></span></span></div><div class="" style="line-height: 1.38; text-align: center; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span class="" style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-weight: 700; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span class="" style="border: none; display: inline-block; overflow: hidden; width: 408px; height: 224px;"><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/LllMcrdJDrFFr4rhd2mEPOZm7ac_aJJ0M1x88FNvmviG7QGPmt3ixLmFKD3s-sE7KAe0OIaHfZw8xEY4MvAfmf78v3qsRpJCEThTU8PyrSzlWCpyJUn_-TLzeqLXVeOdRBSMV4QmfSBF3M02kY9imo4" width="408" height="224" class="" style="margin-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"></span></span></div></span></div></body></html>
