>From Ellen Lipponcott of NFWF:

NFWF has updated their website with the new 2005 grant proposal time line
for the Plant Conservation Alliance's NPCI grant program. The next cycle
is follows:

Pre-proposals Due: August 15, 2005
Full Proposals Due: September 30, 2005
Anticipated Announcement of Awards: November 30, 2005

Please see their website at
http://www.nfwf.org/programs/npci_application.htm for the specific
application format and other information regarding the grant program.

The Native Plant Conservation Initiative provides grants to non-profit organizations and agencies at all levels of government to promote the conservation of native plants. There is a strong preference for "on-the-ground" projects that involve local communities and citizen volunteers in the restoration of native plant communities. Projects that include a pollinator conservation component are also encouraged.
