Hello NAPPC Partners & Friends:

Would anyone have advise/expertise to offer for this wetland restoration
project?

"I'm working as a wildlife biologist with EDAW on a wetland restoration
project in the Sierras. We plan to restore two seasonal wet meadows near
Truckee.

Although our team's expertise lies in vertebrate and plant ecology, we want
to be sure that invertebrates also benefit from the restoration. We would
thus like to attract rare and/or beneficial insects to the site, and use
plant species or other features in our restoration design that would
enhance insect survival and reproduction.

We would very much appreciate your guidance on which local pollinators or
insects of conservation concern we should focus on, their host plant
requirements, and any other plant interactions or habitat associations to
guide our restoration efforts for these species. The restoration site is
located in a matrix of both conifers and sagebrush. I have pasted below the
list of plants observed on site; underlined species were within the
delineated boundaries of the wetland.

I can be reached by phone at 916/448-2474 (home) or 916/414-5856 (work),
or by email at *kristenstrohm at gmail.com* <kristenstrohm at gmail.com>.

Thank you very much for your time and your expertise.

Regards,

Kristen Strohm
