CoE Farm Bill Objectives, in Brief:
1.  Baucus bill [S. 1496] type of provisions, inserting pollinator habitat
in strategic places in existing program authorities.
2.  If possible, language identifying or designating pollinators/habitat as
significant resource concern, for both managed and wild pollinators.
3.  Research provision that goes beyond CCD and honeybees to include
habitat, native pollinators, BMP's, etc.

CoE Continuing Action:
1.  CoE’s support for S. 1496 continues.
2.  CoE working with Senate Ag Committee staff.
3.  CoE is involved in a collaborative effort to encourage the introduction
of pollinator-beneficial research legislation in the Senate, as a strong
complement to Baucus et al pollinator habitat bill.  We’ll keep you posted!
4.  CoE working to add pollinator-beneficial provisions in full Ag Committee
markup on House side [Subcommittee-reported bill silent on pollinators].
