The role of native bees in California agriculture and conservation efforts
targeting them were featured on Sacramento’s Capital Public Radio (KXJZ)
yesterday.

During the program, Mace Vaughan, Conservation Director for the Xerces
Society and Yolo County California farmer Bruce Rominger discuss native
bees with program host, Jeffery Callison.

Topics ranged from the need to conserve wild bee habitat, the pollination
service that native bees are currently providing to growers in the Central
Valley, and how to balance pollinator protection with human activities.
