National Pollinator Week is nearly upon us! It runs from Monday, June 17, to
Sunday, June 23. Xerces staff members are out and about during the week
presenting talks and workshops and showing displays. Here's a list of where
we'll be during (and on the eve of) National Pollinator Week. For

OREGON
5th Annual Farmscaping for Beneficial Insects Field Day
Mace Vaughan, Xerces pollinator program director, will be joining fantastic
partners from Oregon State University's Integrated Plant Protection Center
and the NRCS Plant Materials Center, for a full-day event. Tour the
Corvallis NRCS Plant Materials Center to learn about plants, the pollinators
and other beneficial insects they support, and techniques for creating
habitat.

Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center, 2301 University Dr., Newport Beach

This talk is part of the Third Annual Newport Bay Symposium. The event
brings together some of the region's foremost experts to talk about native
plants and their insect pollinators, and will close with Scott Hoffman
Black's presentation. The talks will be followed by a native plant sale
during lunchtime, and the day will conclude with a series of informal field
trips to local trails where some of these plants and insects are found.
