Happy Pollinator Week to everyone!
We are still accepting pre-sale order applications for the new "Protect
Pollinators" license plates. (These plates are not yet available through
the DMV.) Please see below for details:

Virginia residents with a passion for pollinators could soon display their
enthusiasm with a “Protect Pollinators” license plate. The plate design
features native bees, butterflies, a hummingbird and honeybees, as well as
Virginia native plants and the Blue Ridge Mountains. An image has been
attached to this email. The goal of the plate is to promote a statewide
dialog about the conservation of these essential species and the role they
play in our food supply and ecosystems.

For the plate to become available, Pollinator Plates must meet Virginia’s
requirement of collecting 450 completed applications and plate fees. Over
350 applications have already been submitted, but close to 100 more are
still needed. Drivers interested in getting their own Pollinator Plates can
visit the official website at www.pollinatorplates.com and complete the
application process online or by postal mail. The plates cost $10 annually,
or $20 for a
personalized plate.

For more information, please visit www.pollinatorplates.com or email
pollinatorplates at gmail.com.

Thanks and enjoy your week of celebrating pollinators!
