Subj: Travel Support for 2013 Brazil Pollination Biology Course - Call for
Applications (deadline to apply is June 15)

Dear All,

Please forward this to any students who may be interested.

NSERC-CANPOLIN is pleased to announce that once again it has funds
available through the Strategic Network Enhancement Initiative to offer travel
assistance for up to four students to attend the 2013 International
Pollination Biology Course in Brazil.

Course Details
Dates: December 2-14, 2013
Location: Lençóis, Brazil (near _Chapada Diamantina National Park_
(http://wikitravel.org/en/Chapada_Diamantina_National_Park) in Bahia).

The course website has not yet been updated but you can read about last
year's course _here_
(http://www.polinizadoresdobrasil.org.br/index.php/en/curso-polinizacao/annoucement) (the same general format is followed each
year). Please note that this course is organized by members of the Brazilian
Pollination Initiative (not CANPOLIN). However, four spots have been
reserved for CANPOLIN students. Each student will be reimbursed up to $2,500
towards the cost of their travel to Brazil and the course tuition (which is
expected to be about $1200 reais or $650 Cdn, this fee also covers room and
board).

To apply for a spot on the course (and travel funding), please email me
the following information by June 15, 2013:

1) Your name.
2) Your supervisor's name.
3) When you started and your expected completion date.
4) The title of your project and type of degree (MSc or PhD).
5) One paragraph (max 150 words) explaining how your project ties in with
CANPOLIN's research objectives.

All students affiliated with the Network are eligible to apply, but
priority will be given to students working directly on CANPOLIN-related projects.

Deadline to respond is June 15, 2013.

Regards,
Sarah Bates
