Hello,

This Honey bee carries many pollinia from Milkweed Asclepias sp. flowers on her legs. Black part is a corpusculum and yellow part is pollinial sac.

See this PDF from : Insect pollinators of 12 milkweed (asclepias) species

http://images.library.wisc.edu/EcoNatRes/EFacs/NAPC/NAPC13/reference/econatres.napc13.rbetz.pdf

It is very common with large bees, like with Bumble bee!

Subject: [Pollinator] What's wrong with this picture?

The warm weather has arrived. Honeybees are visiting the early milkweeds of North America so... what's wrong with this picture (taken this morning from a specimen collected last week)?
Peter
