[Pollinator] Rates of Consumption?

I was going to write this message to Jim Cane but wonder how many other
people might be interested in answering the question or sharing the
answers? A hive of commercial honeybees sits in the same, midwestern site
12 months of the year. In a normal year how much nectar and how much
pollen will it consume from the surrounding vegetation? Are there
published references to this calculation? Wax cells containing pollen can
be weighed but what does one do about nectar? Bees reduce the water in
nectar to make honey so how much dilute nectar is gathered prior to
concentration as honey? This will make a nice "gee whiz" statistic for my
students.
