Start Date: Not later than September 1, 2016



Come join a growing team of conservation professionals working to protect
habitat for some of the world’s most important animals. We are seeking a
Director of Community Engagement to create and manage a new program at The
Xerces Society, with the goal of reaching out to broadly engage citizens in
our education and conservation efforts. The Director will develop and
implement a community outreach and engagement plan including; defining
engagement goals, recruiting volunteers to expand the reach of our
communication and education efforts, and collaborating with Xerces Program
Directors and the Executive Director to develop and execute an outreach and
volunteer coordination plan. The focus of these efforts is to build a
strong volunteer base to educate, and advocate for the conservation of
bumble bees, monarch butterflies, and other pollinators as well as
dragonflies, freshwater mussels, and other invertebrates.
