[Pollinator] sand wasps and bee wolves in a volleyball court-sized sandpit

Hi all, I mentioned last summer that the Waltham (MA) YMCA has a volley ball court covered in over 12 in. of sand. Hundreds of sand wasps and bee wolves are active all summer making nests in the sand. Does anyone know scientists who who would be interested in studying these bees? Or have a suggestion about where/how to move the sand or at least part of the sand?

Thank you, Barbara
