The European Pollinator Initiative is now officially a real thing! The 
EU Commission is committed to encourage scientific research and 
awareness raising campaigns with a specific focus on WILD bees and other 
WILD pollinators!

"One in ten pollinating insects is on the verge of extinction, and a 
third of bee and butterfly species is declining. This is why today the 
Commission is proposing the first-ever EU initiative to address the 
decline of wild pollinating insects."
