Hi everyone:

Results from the 2020 Conservation in the West Survey
<https://www.coloradocollege.edu/stateoftherockies/conservationinthewest/>,
undertaken by the State of the Rockies project at Colorado College in
Colorado Springs, were recently released. One finding that stood out for us
at Xerces was people’s response when asked how they felt about loss of
pollinators such as bees and butterflies. An overwhelming majority, 80% of
respondents, said it was somewhat serious or worse
<https://www.coloradocollege.edu/other/stateoftherockies/conservationinthewest/2020/2020-conservation-in-the-west-poll-data/2020%20State%20of%20the%20Rockies%20Topic%20Report%20on%20Wildlife%20(20003%20-%20d1d).pdf>.
This result was notable for its consistency across the region—76% was the
lowest, reported in Nevada and New Mexico—and also in all types of
communities: 85% of city dwellers, 81% of suburbanites, 77% of small town
residents, and 76% of people in rural areas.

Thanks for all you do to help pollinators. It’s in part due to you that we
have seen this groundswell of support for pollinators!
