On March 8, EPA<BR>published a notice of proposed rulemaking to update and clarify data<BR>requirements for biochemical and microbial pesticides (40 CFR, Part<BR>158). That notice announced a public comment period – open until June 6<BR>– for the proposal soliciting the views of stakeholders and the general<BR>public. The proposed rule is available through our Web site at<BR>http://www.epa.gov/fedrgstr/EPA-PEST/2006/March/Day-08/p2185.htm.<BR><BR>Some of the proposed revisions apply to the data submission process,<BR>such as revised policy on data waivers, consultations, and<BR>pre/post-submission meetings. Although the workshops will not cover<BR>conventional pesticides, antimicrobial pesticides, or product<BR>performance data, all interested parties are welcome since EPA has<BR>already issued or is planning future revisions to the regulations in<BR>these three areas.
