The Xerces Society is pleased to announce the launch of its newly redesigned <a href="http://www.xerces.org/" target="_blank">website</a>. The new website has greatly improved design, accessibility and additional resources. With hundreds of pages of information, the website is a vital resource for those interested in invertebrate conservation. In addition to summaries of the Society's conservation programs, the site offers access to dozens of freely downloadable factsheets and conservation guidelines.</p>

<p>Some highlights of the new site include: </p>

<li>The <a href="http://www.xerces.org/pollinator-conservation/" target="_blank">pollinator conservation resource center</a> offers information for farmers, landowners, gardeners, wildland and park managers, and golf course superintendents on how to provide habitat for pollinator insects. </li>
</ul>
<ul type="disc">
<li>Xerces Society <a href="http://www.xerces.org/publications/" target="_blank">publications</a> and <a href="http://www.xerces.org/join/" target="_blank">memberships</a> can now be purchased online via PayPal. </li>
</ul>

<li>Robert Michael Pyle's <a href="http://www.xerces.org/butterflyathon/" target="_blank">Butterfly Big Year blog</a>, which details his year-long odyssey crisscrossing the United States in pursuit of as many different species of butterflies as possible, plus information on the Xerces Society's Butterfly-a-thon. </li>

<li>The opportunity to sign up for the Xerces Society <a href="http://www.xerces.org/newsletter-signup/" target="_blank">enewsletter</a> to receive periodic email updates on invertebrate conservation issues. </li>

<li>Profiles of over one hundred rare and at-risk <a href="http://www.xerces.org/at-risk-invertebrates/" target="_blank">invertebrate species</a>, each with information on life history, status, and conservation needs. The profiled species include a broad array of invertebrates from <a href="http://www.xerces.org/ochrotrichia-susanae/" target="_blank">Susan's purse-making caddisfly</a>—a critically imperiled species found in only one creek in Colorado—to the <a href="http://www.xerces.org/rusty-patched-bumble-bee/" target="_blank">rusty-patched bumble bee</a>, which was once very common throughout the east and upper Midwest of the United States, but has steeply declined in recent years. </li>

<p>With contributions from many renowned invertebrate photographers, the Xerces Society worked with <a href="http://www.greentangerinemedia.com/" target="_blank">Green Tangerine Media</a> to develop this site. </p>
