Service International Programs invites you to join hundreds of
schoolchildren, scientists, and citizens from Canada, Mexico and the USA for a
live webcast of two new editions of MonarchLIVE --a program to promote interest
in conservation and science. Available by broadcast and webcast, both
interactive programs will air questions and comments sent in from viewers in
real time.

[To learn more about MonarchLIVE in English:

February 17, 2009: Watch as scientists visit the remote site in northern
Mexico where Monarchs overwinter. Marvel as you take an electronic field

where millions of Monarchs are hibernating happily. Learn as you take part
in a live session with student groups emailing in questions and observations.

gardens can be created everywhere! Join us in Chicago for a live webcast to
learn how small garden plots can have big results for both butterflies and
people.

May 28, 2009: Monarchs depend on healthy habitats in three
countries, and Canada provides a welcome summer home to thousands. Join us
for a live webchat to learn more on this topic.

WHY
For more than a
year, the US Forest Service International Programs and partners have been
working on the conservation of the Monarch butterfly across the Americas.
Adopting a flyway approach--working with diverse partners from the public and
private sector across the wide geographic range of the Monarch migration
contributes to the successful conservation of this beautiful insect's habitat.
