The Native Plant Center uses the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Cheapeake Bay Field Office’s native plant database, associated with its publication, </font><i><font size="4" face="Arial">Native Plants for Wildlife Habitat and Conservation Landscaping: Chesapeake Bay Watershed</font></i><font size="4" face="Arial">. Using native plants on individual lawns and gardens benefit local wildlife species, including pollinators, and reduces or eliminates the need for pesticides which wash into local tributaries and ultimately, the Chesapeake Bay.
