<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify">The Seventh World
Environmental Education Congress will be held in Marrakech
(Morocco) from 9 to 14 June 2013.<BR>The previous congresses
took place in Portugal, Brazil, Italy, South Africa, Canada
and Australia. In the next few months the location of the
2015 congress will be made known, for which numerous
candidatures were presented, from Latin America, Asia and
Europe, a sign of the growing interest in this important
international event. <BR>The proposal to host for the first
time a world congress in a country of Arab and Muslim
culture was put forward by the Fondation Mohammed VI pour la
protection de l’environnement. This is undoubtedly the most
interesting aspect of the next edition of WEEC.<BR>Morocco,
among other things, is in a state of flux. A new
constitution bringing political change has been in force
since the end of 2011. A country with a long history and
great artistic and natural assets, Morocco has in Marrakech
a pearl of international fame.<BR>Another interesting aspect
is the theme chosen by the Local Organising Committee: the
rural-urban relationship, a particularly sensitive issue in
Morocco where, like many other countries, an exodus from the
countryside and a strong process of urban migration is being
witnessed. In addition, climactic changes are bound to
exacerbate the problem of water shortage, strongly felt in
Morocco as in many other countries.</P>

<BR>La relation entre monde rural et urbain. </SPAN></H2>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN style="COLOR: rgb(0,0,255)"><IMG hspace=5 alt="" vspace=2 align=left src="http://phplist.schole.it/img_newsletter/image/logo_7weec.jpg" width=246 height=96>Le Septième World Environmental
Education Congress (WEEC) aura lieu à Marrakech (Maroc) du 9
au 14 juin 2013.<BR>Les congrès précédents avaient eu lieu
au Portugal, Brésil, en Italie, Afrique du Sud, au Canada et
en Australie. Dans les prochains mois on devrait aussi
connaître le siège du congrès qui aura lieu en 2015, pour
lequel ont été présentées de nombreuses candidatures en
provenance de l’Amérique latine, de l’Asie et l’Europe, en
témoigne l’intérêt grandissant de ce rendez-vous
international. <BR>La proposition d’héberger pour la
première fois un congrès mondial dans un pays de culture
arabe et musulmane est venue de la part de la Fondation
Mohammed VI pour la protection de l’environnement. Ceci
constitue sans aucun doute la première grande raison
d’intérêt de la prochaine édition du WEEC.<BR>De plus le
Maroc est un pays en pleine transformation où depuis fin
2011 une nouvelle constitution est en vigueur qui a permis
un renouvellement politique. Pays avec une longue histoire
et un grand patrimoine artistique et naturel, Marrakech
représente pour le Maroc une vraie perle de renommée
internationale. <BR>La thématique choisie par le comité
d’organisation locale représente un autre motif d’intérêt
pour cette rencontre : la relation entre le monde urbain et
rural, thématique qui est très ressentie au Maroc où, comme
dans beaucoup d’autres pays, on assiste à un exode massif de
la campagne et à un fort processus d’urbanisation. Un
phénomène qui sera de plus en plus accentué par les
changements climatiques et qui, dans des pays comme le
Maroc, se traduit aussi par un manque d’eau grandissant.
