The excellent news is that the bumble bee was one of the two winners and will be featured on a chocolate bar! The Xerces Society will also be receiving a $1,000 donation from Endangered Species Chocolate. This is a fantastic outcome and was only possible because of a huge outpouring of support. In the end, the bumble bee got well over 18,000 votes. Wow!<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Thank you, too, to Endangered Species Chocolate for including the bumble bee and Xerces in this campaign. Six animals were in the candidates list: bumble bee, orangutan, red panda, monk seal, peacock, and wallaby. Each of these were equally deserving of votes, but only two could be winners.
