you will surely remember that one of the topics we will refer to in
Chapter 1 is “Legislations related to Pollinators and Pollination”; for
this topic I would like to ask you for your input.<br>
<br>
Generally, we have identified the following categories of regulations,
laws etc. directed to pollination and pollinators:<br>
<br>
· Regulations of the use
of crop protection products <br>
· Regulations re.
agricultural processes/practices<br>
· Regulations to prevent
the spread of diseases and pathogens of pollinators<br>
· Regulations to prevent
the spread of invasive species that affect native/cultivated
pollinators<br>
· Regulations to
restrict/regulate the movement of managed pollinators<br>
· Regulations re. land
use and protection or creation of pollinator habitats<br>
· Regulations to restrict
pollination (for specific crops)<br>
<br>
After we have been collecting examples for each of these categories
within the Chapter 1 Team, <b>I would now like to extend the inquiry for
information or examples on relevant legislations to the whole working
group</b>, in order to have examples from as many countries/regions as
possible. What we would like to do is providing a broad overview of
existing legislations on a global level, therefore it would be good to
demonstrate the diversity of existing regulations by various concrete
examples.<br>
