board of the Journal of Pollination Ecology and me are extremely proud<br>and honoured to announce JPE’s new Editor-in-Chief: Prof James Thomson<br>from the University of Toronto, Canada. <br><br>The seed to develop this journal was planted in 2005 on a tiny island in<br>Sweden, Tjärnö, at the SCAPE meeting – during “discussions over<br>breakfast/dinner, overlooking the sea…“. Four years later, the first<br>article was published. But I still was not quite sure that this journal<br>could really work and continue to produce publications. You all, editors,<br>authors, reviewers and readers proofed that it could! I would like to thank<br>everybody for your confidence, support, encouragement and personal<br>investment to make this adventure a success!<br><br>Now that the journal has grown up, I am deeply grateful I can hand its<br>leadership over to such a renowned pollination scientist as James Thomson.<br>Definitely, under his guidance, the journal will continue to flourish and<br>grow.
