distribution. There are organic nurseries, and I don’t think they operate

Home Depot and Lowes have pledged to stop carrying neonic treated plants by the
end of this year. True Value announced in 2016 that they would no longer carry
products containing neonicotinoids by the spring of this year. There is still
work to be done, but the retail market is moving away from neonics (though not

required by law to treat our plants before they leave the nursery. Residual
effects of the chemical applications we use are minimal as they break down very
quickly after exposure to the sun and water. If we were a small, local grower we
could be organic and Neonicotinoid free. However, bear in mind that there are
many other users of Neonicotinoids like farmers that use far more product than
the horticulture industry, which is simply out of our control and we use the
bare minimum. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
