award managed by the Xerces Society that is now open for applications,
the <a href="http://www.xerces.org/bandrosky" target="_blank" style="color:rgb(5,99,193)">Deborah
BanDrosky Award</a>. While many of you have heard of our <a href="http://www.xerces.org/dewind" target="_blank" style="color:rgb(5,99,193)">DeWind Award</a> for
students working on the conservation of Lepidoptera, this new award will
be <b>for students in higher education who are studying conservation of
any invertebrate taxon or group that is in need of conservation</b>!</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:107%;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Award amounts are determined annually; in 2026 there will be
two awards of $5,000 each as well as two honorable mention awards. We are
currently accepting applications for this new award through <b>January 7,

to both undergraduate and graduate students. Awards will be given to
applications whose proposed research highlights species known to need
conservation, is directly relevant to the species’ conservation, and is
