Greetings,

After numerous delays we finally have a new plant auction launched:
The Sixth Mini Auction Fundraiser has begun!
See partway down our
homepage for the terms and listings: www.sacredsucculents.com
Please
read the full terms before bidding. All bids should be directed to our
other email: benkamm@monitor.net
The auction closes this Sunday, October 3 at 6pm PST.
If all remains on track we plan to post 1-2 such small auctions a month this autumn and winter.

Our Specimen Plant List has also been recently updated, this is posted just below the Plant Auction.

The Catalog PDFs have been updated and are available for download at
the top of the homepage. These reflect our current prices/stock and take
precedence over any listing on the website other than the Specimen List
& Auction.

We have begun shipping the summer orders that were on hold—all orders
received before Sept. 15 should ship in the next 1–3 weeks.

However, we are not resuming normal shipping at this time as we’d hoped:
at this point we don’t expect to resume a regular shipping routine
until next spring. We are taking orders but know we are operating at limited capacity--for now all new orders should be emailed to me as inquiries before any payment is sent—I
can then confirm stock and give you an estimated ship time for your
order—for anything other than very simple orders expect this to be 2–6+
weeks. Auction plants should ship within a week of payment.

The last 2 years have been over full with unprecedented calamities &
problems consuming much of our time. Though we made significant
progress with the nursery this summer, the whole dynamic still has us in
a situation where, as much as it pains us, we feel that our only option
is to continue to limit the number and frequency of orders for a time.
This is the only way we can actually get caught up with absolutely
essential nursery renovations, protect the long term viability of Sacred
Succulents and ultimately return to the level of customer service that
we have historically offered (which has been elusive this past year.)
I know this is inconvenient but it is the best we can do given the circumstances.
Thank all of you for your continual understanding and support.
For Rare Plant List subscribers-- please note that the List should
resume going out next year. We apologize for the long delay and greatly
appreciate your patience!

We are relieved to report there have been no fires close to us this
season (so far) and the smoke from those further north has been mostly
minimal here. However the changing and erratic weather continues to put a
strain on the nursery and gardens here with unexpected and diverse plant
mortality remaining high. At the same time we are seeing some plants
flourish or bloom for the first time as well. The Trichocereus blossoms
have been prodigious this season, yet about 1/3 of the fruits have
aborted half formed--something we've never seen before on scale.
Regardless, enough are ripening that we will have quite a few exciting
new hybrids available downstream. We have plenty of exciting and unique
plants in the works for next year.

Perpetual gratitude for your ongoing support during these tumultuous times!
