</font></p><font size="4">We'd hoped to be caught up with
shipping the winter orders by now, but this is far from the case and it
now looks like it will take us <i>most of June</i> to get caught up.
Things have been <i>significantly</i> complicated by the extensive damage to
our stock over the winter and the erratic spring weather (just 2 weeks
ago we had a week of intermittent rain, hail and frost). This past week
was the <i>first</i> time we'd been able to safely <i>begin</i> to take cuttings from the outdoor <i>Trichocereus</i>
(much later than usual) to fulfill standing orders. We are still in the
process of cleaning up the damaged cacti and assessing what we can
realistically offer retail this year. We're also inching forward with
essential nursery renovations, yet we continue to find ourselves in the
frustrating position of not being able to keep up with everything. We
can only persist in our efforts and express our gratitude for your
patience and support. It has become clear that we must do a major
overhaul on our retail lists, so until we accomplish this, we must
further delay shipping on new retail orders until later in the year.
Therefore any new retail orders postmarked <i>after</i> May 23 will not
ship until later in the summer, the timing still to be determined (see
the homepage for current retail schedule). Again, I apologize for the
inconvenience of all this, it is the best we can do given our current
challenges. We will continue to update the Specimen List and ship such
orders monthly and strive to hold one small Plant Auction every 4-6
weeks.<i><br>
