[HECnet] shutting down area 44

The .dd files have all been zipped with the    -V    switch to preserve VMS file attributes.
Avtually, zipping the .dd files didn   t reduce their size much: between 6% and 13% only.
So you might just as well download the original files.
The ftp server is up and running, the hecnet bridge is down btw.

Any chance you can bring that FTP server up again?
  
Also, I tried unzipping the first file, and it seemed to be corrupted...
