[HECnet] Area 44 - update

The names of the chemical elements are interesting. The discovery process as
well as the naming convention (if any) as well as the prerogative to name an
element make interesting reading.
In terms of names there are few clues. In English the halogens are
recognized by the -ine suffix, but this is not the case in Dutch:

	English	Dutch
F	Fluorine	Fluor
Cl	Chlorine	Chloor
Br	Bromine	Broom (Bromium no longer used)
I	Iodine	Jodium (or Jood)
At	Astatine	Astatium (or Astaat)

Actually, in English, that's Boron.

CEPA	(S)	zwavel (in polish is this sarkow [after kwas sarkowy,
sulphuric acid?])

In American English, that's Sulfur.

6POM	(Br)	broom

In English, Bromine.
