[HECnet] RDB media for VAX/VMS

Thanks Kari for the pointer.
I tried to connect to it from a Windows system and noted that the server is
a VMS host.
So I'm firing up an Alpha do perform the ftp copy. The Alpha sure is hot in
the attic...

The RDBVMS V7.0.8.3 kit is now available for download on my anonymous 
ftp service at my front end system called WEGA.DECHOBBYIST.NET.

This was originally downloaded from Oracle OTN and hasn't been modified 
in any way.

recent. :)

Btw. The last RDBVMS kit which was on SPL's was 6.1 and that was
released in mid-1995. It can be found on the Jul-1995 and Dec-1995 SPL's.

If you want to upgrade from V4.1 to V7.0 you need to do some
conversions. I don't remember which intermediate versions you need, but
it should be described in the Release Notes.

I'll put the RDBV7083 kit on my anonymous ftp service and send a message
when it is ready for download.

I've got some RDB files from 2000 and 2005. I'm not sure what they are
as I don't recognize the names any longer, but you're welcome to take a
look at them. They are in DUSTY::.

The RDBV71431KIT_AMV.ZIP is the 2005 file, all the others are from
2000.

I pulled the files down last night, but alas they are only for the Alpha
platform. Might anyone else be able to help? I'm not sure whether Rdb
ever appeared on the SPL?

I do have a kit RDBV7083 for VAX from 2006. I'm not sure if that's the
latest one, but it should run on VAX-VMS V7.3.

If you want to get it, please inform me. I can put it on my anonymous
ftp.
