I thought both X.25 was largely an obsolete protocol, that did so
about the time dialup service became largely old news?

And what finally became of the idea of implementing dialup (Over POTS)
to take over when our largely persistent connections become not
working?

Incidentally Dave right now there is a large furry annoyed and rather
wet individual attempting to cause major mayhem in your area. Sampsa a
troll is busy building a roadblock over a bridge near you.
