Is this available on Hecnet somewhere?

Is what? ;) This chain of email has gotten a bit off topic...

I've got a copy of pakgen too, in case someone needs it. For legit purposes only, of course.

Not off the top of my head, I did manage to get it installed with a license from pakgen though.

THis was like 3 years ago. I'll have a look around for the install media.

Okay, I deleted the copy I had, and the ftp site I found it on disappeared...

I got pakgen.c if you want it - I think you just need to figure out what the product name is and you're good

Happen to know the product name for Ultrix itself on a MicroVAX? ;)
and would you have a copy of some install media? I don't think I installed the DECnet bits.

This is a solved problem, no?

Yeah, archiving this stuff would be a great idea. Dump them all in a
format we'll all be able to read in a few years and store it on say,
amazon glacier. Who would want anything less than advertised eleven
nines for storing email?

I dunno, I'd want something more than storing it on someone else's
hardware. Especially when that someone else is a huge corporation,
subject to corporate whims. Your data could go away at any time.

So, backup to your tape library? :p
