[HECnet] NOTES system?

If someone has a config file for OS X Terminal.app I'd cry with happiness.

Related to using NOTES, before doing the discussion on NOTES, 
for using the keypad, how do the present HECnet users use the 
DEC keypad on non-DEC equipment?
