You know that ftp is way faster than NFT? And you can just do "ftp 
mim.update.uu.se:10021" on your RSX host, assuming you have a new enough 
version that it accepts the port number...

Once the firewall is gone, life will become so much more sane again...

(Not sure what issues you might have had with the DECnet link. Maybe 
just a timeout issue? It can take a while to recover if the link is lost.)
