Funny. Looking in my inbox I did find a mail from you on April 10th. And 
I did reply to it.

So you are wrong in that implied accusation that people ignored you.
However, I obviously can't answer the question if you got my reply, or 
if it was sorted as spam, or if it got blocked somewhere, or what.

Well, I would prefer if we didn't use a bridge. It works, but it's not 
exactly the best scaling solution.
Two other options I would recommend first would be either installing VMS 
Multinet, which allows DECnet circuits over TCP/IP, or the PyDECnet 
router software, which you can also run on that RPI2.
