That would only work for a Tops-20 labeled or ANSI labeled tape.

You want to run DUMPER, then

         tape mt0:
         rewind
         print tty:

The tapes are not in TPC format, they are in TPS format (if the 
extention is .TAP, .TPS or TPE)
