[HECnet] Area 60 offline

Pre-Covid I was in Phoenix fairly often for work. I don’t mind 107F in Phoenix, in the shade it feels more like 80-85F in Oregon. We occasionally hit around 107F, but I’m not sure I’ve ever seen 110F+ here, which is predicted for Sunday.

My plan is to focus on cooling, and to try and monitor the HP DL380 Gen 7 I want to keep up. Even most of the VM’s I have are shutdown to reduce the heat load, as my “Datacenter” is simply air cooled. I wish it had A/C.

We’re supposed to get up between 107-111F this weekend, and the one day the low is supposed to be 77F (I’m not sure I’ve ever seen that in Oregon).
