Meanwhile, Music
Tree to tree the birds fly to perch and sing
amid the sway and swing of spring's busy wind,
while wars go on, while the sea rises and the ice melts.
In the midst of life narrowing to the onyx box,
the house of Anubis side by side with the house of music,
sun blesses the breakfast table.
All is perishing, and yet they sing, they sing.
