Saturday, July 9, 10am-3pm MINING METAPHORS

Where exactly is a writer’s block? And how do we actually “grasp” an idea let alone wrap our head around it? Explore these and other body-related metaphors in a writing and movement workshop facilitated by local writer and educator Sharon Bard. Sharon, co-editor of Steeped: In the World of Tea and author of Reinventing the Wheel: Self-Healing for Spinal Cord Injuries, has traveled in over 40 countries.

We’ll meet at The Sitting Room in Cotati on Saturday July 9th from 10-3 as we “stretch” our bodies and creative inklings. Bring a notebook, bag lunch and curiosity. Wear loose clothes. This workshop, suitable for all levels, is a benefit for the Sitting Room. Suggested donation: $20-$40. Email Sharon at srbard at comcast.net <mailto:srbard at comcas.tnet> with any questions or to reserve a space.
