Dreaming in the last land of dementia,
Torso stiff, limbs frozen,
Steve kneeling by your side
Arranging long now unbending legs
Into the chair Mimi chose
To hold inarticulate love,
Your rigid arm reached out in blessing.
Three times you touched his head.
