Today is a Poem

Today is a poem.
An ode to St Stephens.
Not that one up there, 
this one down here,
with the grey rocks so neatly stacked,
the wooden benches circling so invitingly.
Today, after months and months of
fire and smoke
fire and smoke
fire and smoke
it rained.
Today, after months and months of
separation and isolation
we gathered.
Today is a poem.
