Philosophy

You slip
into life
programmed
to breath,
excrete.

Ticket punched
ere arrival.
Nigh on to
14,000,000
Homo sapiens
have trod this
space.

How many
can you
name?
Who
will name
you?

First, you’re young; then you’re old.
First, you live; then you die.
Try not to hurt too many people along the way.
Put back more than you take.
You control some of it.

Greed produces
Prunes and ghouls.
Anxiety makes wrinkles and fools.
Eight out of ten
commandments
not bad.
Power goes sour.
Your children will likely
Throw away all that shit you collected.
Or someone else will.
