Catch Love
 
Five minutes shared indoors 
may do it.
No face mask can stop it
since it is transmitted 
through the eyes, the heart, the soul.
Extremely contagious, love is.
You can´t inoculate against it:
you can catch it
anywhere, anytime, from anyone
and it is heedless of lockdowns.
It was not created in a lab
nor found in a village market.
It cannot be traced back in time
but once you catch it
the onset of symptoms is immediate:
warmth in the heart
tolerance in the mind
softness in the body
brilliance in the soul.
It can be treated
with closeness and intimacy
but will unfailingly lead
to the same prognosis:
death of all that is not itself.
