Today’s  News

in a paradise of mediocrity
glaciers are melting
with the burn of indifference
sea levels rise

a disengenuous connecting of dots
a narrative of complacency
is sure to return our stardust
to an apathetic universe

despots may lay claims to lands
as if human ownership is possible
ultimately they will come and go
taking nothing with their passing

is it bitterly tragicallly funny
that all we have accomplished
is just another episode
of beget beget smite smite
