Little air - Virginia Francisco

Little air

I didn´t feel like filling my day with stuff today.
Like the noise of chatter with a friend
or like hopping on the car to drive to town.
No.
I chose to leave my space awkwardly empty, unfilled
hoping to welcome wandering souls,
too lost in loss,
to nestle here for a bit.
I also left my time very still, barely passing
as when you inhale only little air,
trying to leave some more to spare
for those short of breath,
short of life, short of hope.
