Last Night As I Was Sleeping

Last night as I was sleeping
I dreamed a blessed illusion.
A spring was flowing inside
my heart and in my confusion
I asked those secret waters
from whence did they pour
the start of a new life that I
had never known before.

Last night as I was sleeping,
I dreamed a blessed illusion.
I had a beehive inside my heart
and in my confusion I heard the
golden bees, humming, drawing
nectar from the yarrow, making
honeycombs of sweetness from
my failures and my sorrows.

Last night as I was sleeping I
dreamed a blessed illusion. I
had a burning sun inside my
heart, a fusion of fire from a
hearth of boundless size with
a light that brought warmth
and welcome tears to my eyes.

Last night I slept and dreamed,
but the most amazing part, was
the blessed illusion, that I had
God, here, inside my heart.
