Wind
All night long
Firs toss and roar in the storm
I listen hard
Through brittle glass out into
Sinewy darkness
Where heaving branches
Knotted tight to tough trunks
Sweep wild, dizzy
In drunken air
Tumbling tree tide
Mountain crests of
Jade fragrant needles
Self-given, delirious
Shouting praises
To the wind's
Fierce caress!
Would that I could . . .
Riotous roar
No dream of sleep
In the company
Of such lovemaking
