Calling In The Summer
For The Summer Solstice
Call in the warm days, skeins of light and the dawn chorus.
Call in the wanton beauty, the dazzling beauty, flowers
aching to be fruit. Coral and ruby seeds, the swollen lighting
inside the docile eggs of Earth’s passionate brooding..
Call in the wriggling vines, vibrating silence of the Moon.
Call in the playground of running roots, the surging yes,
The yes hungry for the next delight.
Call in the brazen yes of the desire we have held
back, ready to speak now, nourished with recovered love
from the eternal garden within us.
Celebrate this gathering of light.
The enthusiasm and soar of light
in its roundest, deepest, summoning of love.
Call in renewal of all lives now.
Call in a time of joy again.
Gone is the dark time, the cold time, the cave.
Here are the beckoning green hearts
of the Green Woman and Green Man.
Here is the path we have never taken.
Here is the summer ready to ripen
our dreams. .
Call in the South.
Call in the Eagle and the Wolf.
Dance the labyrinth into reawakened light..
